What is Shamanism?
-
Shamans work with the spirit, as that’s where the power lies, not in the physical world.
There is no need to hold any specific religious beliefs. Shamanism cuts across all cultures and pre-dates organised religion. -
Think of a Shaman as a Doctor of Nature. We are trained to connect to a higher consciousness in order to heal.
Some shamanic tools include yoga, meditation, massage, 1:1 healings and group rituals. -
Feeling out of balance: ill, stressed, tired and frustrated with the dynamic of a group or relationship.
If you have addiction problems or are self-sabotaging.
If you have aspirations for growth or change in your life or work.
A Shaman’s main job is to remind you and bring you back to your true self.
-
Yoga is to designed bring your body more ease - the opposite of disease.
A yoga practice reunites body and spirit, and is suitable for every level of fitness and ability.
If you can move and breathe, then you can practice, and benefit from yoga. -
Meditation is about using breath and repetition to still the noise in the mind.
Whether you spend 5 minutes or have a regular practice, meditation brings you peace and connection. -
Healings are usually 1:1. They liberate us from the suffering/and or damage that holds us back. There’s no shame in admitting you have suffered in your life, we all have. Healings make room for growth, they are also massively restorative.
You don’t need to tell me all your troubles, I’m not a psychiatrist. In fact you don’t need to talk at all.
Healings take place in a dark room so the client is relaxed and I can thus enter a meditative state myself. Your body will often tell me if/what trauma has occurred and what type of healing is needed.
Sometimes we start with a tea ceremony to relax, there can be Thai massage, reiki, yoga, chanting, etc.
There are often tears as clients release troubles and stored pain. It’s healthy to cry, you feel better for the release.
After healings, some clients feel peaceful and more centred. Others feel energetic and euphoric! Others still feel stronger, more resilient, in sync with their lives. -
Ceremonies are when a group gathers, drops their masks and sees each other honestly. In this space we reconnect, build trust, share intentions.
Types of ceremonies include sound baths, mantra chanting,
Ceremonies often include rituals such as despatchos, cacao ceremonies, blessings, manifesting -
